The Opportunity

We are hiring a Director of Food Service who shares our entrepreneurial spirit and passion for people. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a new division from the ground up with the support of an experienced, values-driven team behind you.

This position is hybrid, with periodic travel across Canada and the United States.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the development and execution of our food service strategy across Canada, with selective growth in the United States

  • Build and nurture relationships with distributors, national and regional chains, and larger independents

  • Identify and onboard manufacturer partners that align with our values and vision

  • Collaborate with retail sales, marketing, and operations to create seamless cross-channel programs

  • Monitor category trends, pricing, and margins to drive sustainable, long-term growth

  • Build a targeted pipeline and accurate forecast using a simple, transparent process

  • Represent Trifuno Sales at key industry events and model our SHINE values: Service, Honesty, Innovation, Nurture, and Excellence

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in food service sales, business development, or category management

  • Established relationships with major chains, distributors, and larger independents in Canada

  • A strategic mindset with hands-on leadership and execution

  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills

  • An entrepreneurial, solutions-first approach and a genuine love for people and great food

  • Nice to have: experience in bakery and frozen categories and cross-border exposure

How We Will Measure Success

  • A clear 90-day plan with priority accounts, partner targets, and an outreach cadence

  • A qualified pipeline with documented next steps and a rolling forecast

  • First manufacturer partner onboarded within six months, with pilot programs scoped

  • Early wins that demonstrate margin discipline, service quality, and a repeatable process
